As many of us are aware, tens of thousands of Muslims are expected to gather at the Mall in Washington DC tomorrow to intercede to their god regarding America. Therefore, I encourage you to please spend time tomorrow, September 25th, in prayer and intercession. It is important that we counteract by calling out to our God and declaring in faith that our nation is one nation under the One, True, and Living God…and that His rule and influence would be firmly established here in America.

Ministry leaders are calling on Christians to pray before and during aMuslim prayer rally that is expected to draw tens of thousands to Capitol Hill Friday.

The Call founder Lou Engle issued an urgent prayer call last week asking Christians to pray in the run up to Islam on Capitol Hill, when some 50,000 Muslims are expected to gather in the nation’s capital to pray for the soul of America.

Tonight Engle will join Shirley Dobson, chair of the National Day of Prayer Task Force, and Family Research Council President Tony Perkins in praying for the U.S. during a national teleconference beginning at 7:30 p.m. Eastern. In a statement posted on his ministry Web site, Engle also called on Christians to fast and pray Friday.

“We are calling the Church of America to fast and pray that Muslims would be moved by the Holy Spirit, convicted by the testimony of Christ, and even be visited by Jesus in dreams,” Engle said. “We must pray that God would restrain the spiritual powers behind Islam and grant us the great awakening that we desperately need for America.”

Engle’s prayer call has been echoed by numerous ministry networks, which see the Muslim rally as a sign of an intentional “Islamization” of America.

Thank You Lord that you do not tolerate perverted justice, partiality, or taking of bribes in those that You appoint to seats of judgment and authority.  Today I representatively repent for the unrighteous judgments that have been decreed by judges in our land.  Please Lord show us mercy and bring a cleansing through the Blood of Jesus and Your Word to judicial system in our nation.  Remind every judge that they have been given authority not to please man’s wishes but to please You.  Lord be with every judge as they render judgments so that righteousness and justice will prevail once again in our nation.  Restore integrity to our judicial system and Your word as the governing law for all decisions and judgments.  Thank You that justice, impartiality, and integrity are being restored as the foundational pillars in the heart of every man and woman that sits as a judge in the courtrooms of this nation.  Amen

Father be merciful to my nation. May Your great mercy cover the United States today as we celebrate the blessing and freedom that you have bestowed on us because of Your love for us. I pray that your truth and your ways will guide our leaders’ hearts towards You. Prayer of Agreement for National Repentance and Revival:

Join us praying daily for God to move in our land using the following prayer taken from Daniel 9:

Vs. 4—I pray to you O Lord my God, for you are a great and awesome God, who keeps Your covenant and mercy with those who love You, and with those who keep Your commandments.

Vs. 5—For we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and judgments.

Vs 6—Neither have we heeded your prophets and preachers, who spoke in Your name to our leaders and government officials, to our fathers, families, and individuals across America.

Vs 7—O Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but to us shame of face to the men and women of America, to the leaders in Washington, D.C., and all Americans around the world, because of our unfaithfulness to You.

Vs 9—To the Lord our God belongs mercy and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against You.

Vs.11—Yes, all America has transgressed Your law and turned aside not obeying Your voice. So the curse has been poured out on us that was written in Your Word by Moses, because as a nation we have sinned against You.

Vs.12 –-Your words are confirmed against us. The words He spoke against us the people and our rulers to bring on us a great calamity.

Vs.13— As it is written in the Law of Moses (Deuteronomy 12) all of this calamity has come on us yet we have not sought the favor of the Lord our God by turning from our iniquity and giving attention to Your truth.

Vs.14— The Lord has watched over each and every evil done to every individual and brought calamity upon us. The Lord is righteous in His deeds. He has warned us what would happen if we did not repent and turn from our sin and iniquity.

Vs.15— Lord God You have been so good to us. In America, you have given us a good land and a wonderful country. Not only have we failed You but we have failed our founding fathers and Constitution. “We have sinned and have been wicked, please, forgive us, we the people of this nation”.

Vs.16— Lord, in accordance with Your righteous acts, let now Your anger and Your wrath turn away from America. Because of our sins and the iniquities of our fathers, America has become a reproach to the nations of the world.

Vs.17— Please God, listen to the prayers of your people. Please hear our prayers and supplications. Please let Your face shine in our prayer sanctuaries, churches, and hearts of believers across the land.

Vs.18— We admonish You Lord, incline your ear and hear our prayers. Open your eyes and see the desolations that are about to come upon America and its people. We have been a nation that is called by Your Name (the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob). Lord, be with us and save our nation, our people, and our land. We know it is not because of our own merit but because of your great mercy and compassion.

Vs.19— Hear O Lord, please forgive us as a nation and people. Please Lord, listen and take action. For our sake, please do not delay because the American people call upon Your Name.

Pray for President Obama

Prayer of Agreement:  Father let President Obama come under Your guiding hand.  As he leads our nation show him daily the best path to follow that will bring peace and healing to our land and its people.  Open President Obama’s heart to Your Word for it to become his closest advisor and allow the Holy Spirit to watch over his life to keep him on the paths of righteousness.

Pray:

• God will anoint President Obama with great wisdom, ability, and expertise to lead this nation in alignment with God’s Kingdom. Exodus 31:3
• President Obama’s presidency will be governed by justice and righteousness. 1 Kings 10:9
• President Obama will be surrounded with wise counsel from people that have character, integrity, and wisdom.  Proverbs 11:14

Pray For Congress

Prayer of Agreement:  Father thank You for the men and women that serve our nation through their service in Congress. Today, I pray that Your grace and mercy would be imparted to each Representative and Senator. Father let wisdom and righteousness be imputed to every member of Congress by Your unfailing love. As it says in Your Word, “Let Your Kingdom come, let Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven,” in the Legislative branch of our government in Jesus name amen!

Pray:

• The foundation of legislation coming out of Congress would be rooted in Righteousness and Justice.
• God’s Spirit would cover the Senate and House of Representatives causing the hearts of our leaders to turn back to God and His Word.
• Godly Senators and Representatives will arise in this hour with God’s anointing, grace, and favor to lead the nation.

Nation & World

Pray:

• The Body of Christ in the United States will arise in unified prayer and cohesive actions to lead the nation back to God and the Biblical principles that the United States was founded upon
• God’s will to be done in Iran and that peace would come to that land through a mighty outpouring of God’s love and salvation.
• God will protect the United States and its people from those that seek to bring harm and destruction
• The men and women serving in our military will be strengthened and protected by God as they do their duty throughout the world.

1. Globalization that would for a new one world currency and monetary system
2. Wrong alignments between the United States and other countries

Pray For:

1. God’s will to be accomplished in US/China relations for the benefit of both countries and the furtherance of the gospel
2. That God will open up China and India through business free enterprise to extend the gospel in other lands
3. God to raise up His people all around the world to places of power and influence
4. God to raise up a new generation of business and finance people that are wholly committed to the cause of Christ in their business endeavors

Current Prayer Issues

1. Pray for God’s will to be accomplished in the nomination process of Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court
2. Pray for God to intervene in the situation with North Korea to bring a peaceful resolution to a situation that could spin out of control
3. Pray for President Obama’s protection as he visits the Middle East and pray that he will be guided by God with wisdom and discernment
4. Pray that corruption will be exposed and removed from the government intervention in private enterprises such as General Motors, banks, and other financial institutions
5. Pray for protection for the United States and all strategies to bring death and destruction to our land would be thwarted by the men and women tasked with protecting our country (i.e…CIA, FBI, Armed Forces, Local Law Enforcement)

Dear Friend & Partner,

I recently returned from a week in Washington, D.C. and would like to report to you on my observations. The spiritual atmosphere of our capitol city has changed significantly. As both political parties campaigned on the banner of change, there really seems to be a great amount of change happening in our nation, and not all of it good. Unfortunately, there is a spiritual void both in Washington and in our nation that is now being played out in our governing body. Many people proclaim spiritual roots and principles but fail to practice it in their daily working lives. There is a continual assault on moral and Christian values, which is actually quite alarming.

However, in spite of all these things there is a rich reservoir of the Holy Spirit that seems to be beckoning us to continued vigilance and prayer. There is a supernatural hope and faith that I have rarely experienced in my life. In other words, in spite of circumstances, the Lord is at work and drawing us to ever-greater involvement in intercessory prayer for our leaders and our nation. I challenge you to get involved with the National Prayer Center prayer strategy this year.

The role of the National Prayer Center is needed more now than ever. Our nation is on the precipice of change and many of the changes are not good. The National Prayer Center is in a unique position to bring the realities of God and the power of prayer directly to the corridors of power in our nation by personally ministering to our elected leaders. For example, this past week as we were in a very important hearing with Christian Congressmen who were standing up on a critical righteous issue our team was in the room supporting and encouraging them as they battled. At the end of the hearing the lead congressman immediately came over hugged me and expressed his deep appreciation for our prayers and our standing with them in this critical issue. We are also joining with other Christian groups coordinating a concerted prayer effort among believers and churches nationally. The hour is at hand, the task is monumental, the needs in our nation are great but as the Body of Christ draws together to blanket Washington D.C. with fervent intercession and strategic prayer we know that there will be a turning of our nation and it’s people back to God and the biblical truths that it was founded upon. I beckon you to partner with the efforts of the National Prayer Center both in prayer and financially in these historic times we live in. With your continued support we will together partner on the front lines of the battle to see the Kingdom of God come and His will being accomplished in our land.

1.  Pray for President Obama

• Pray that God will give our President wisdom to govern with integrity and righteousness
• Pray for President Obama and his cabinet to receive God’s wisdom in dealing with foreign powers bent on death and destruction

• Pray that God would cause the church to mobilize in a concentrated prayer movement that would bring spiritual awaking to America
• Pray that God will strengthen, protect, and empower the men and women that lead local churches across the country
• Pray for the church to be a bastion and an advocate of biblical family values in every segment of society
• Pray for the church in America to awake and move into a season of taking back ground the enemy has stolen

After two years of constant news about the candidates running for President, we are now free from the incessant sound bites.  What do we do now?  We go on living our lives as we always should—loving God, loving our family, loving our nation.  As believers we should always seek first the kingdom of God.  How do we do that?  By participating in all the spiritual disciplines of normal Christianity.  Let’s make Christianity attractive by returning to a passionate relationship with Christ.  Far too many Christians just live a dutiful, apathetic, boring life and don’t ever fully realize that we are here as agents of God to bring the life and hope of God to the earth.

This is a day where the truly sold out Christians will not only stand out from the crowd but could help lead a nation into an era of spiritual awakenings.  My one deep desire is to see a move of God touch America as we have never seen.  In order for this to happen the church must assume responsibility for the spiritual life of the nation.  We must humble ourselves, repent, and approach God with broken and contrite hearts.  The nation will not experience a revival because the heathen get saved but rather because the church becomes the church and is revived.  Judgment must begin at the House of God.
We are too concerned about our own ministry, our own image, our own personal needs. Jesus said if we are to become His disciples we must deny ourselves, take up His cross, and follow Him.  Instead of seeking fulfillment through assuming a ministry position at church, let’s begin simply serving others and find fulfillment through taking care of “the least of these”.

Perhaps by just being faithful to the simple biblical commands of Jesus the church can finally help introduce the world to the greatest person, the greatest plan, and the greatest destiny ever imagined.  Let’s bring pleasure to the heart of our Father and live a life of complete obedience to Him.  Always remember the wonderful, unconditional love of God that never fails.
